East Kent ME Group

East Kent ME is a self-help support group started in February 2009 which is aimed at people suffering with ME, their families and their carers. The group is run by non-medically trained people who are either sufferers of ME or they care for someone with ME. East Kent ME is a voluntary group without any funds or funding and a small charge may have to be made to cover the cost of the venue for its meetngs.

Simply having someone who understood, who people can contact, ask questions and express any fears is often help beyond measure. Jenny Jones is a Reiki healer who has explored and used healing, complementary and herbal therapies which she has found to be beneficial. Initially the plan is to have six meetings a year at which we would hope to have a speaker as well as a meaningful exchange of ideas, news and support, details of which can be obtained by phone or emailing Jenny Jones. The group also plans to have an emailed newsletter which will be sent to all those who register with the group and may not be able to attend meetings.
